Captain Kirk Phillips is a highly successful retired military officer and consulting firm/business owner and is currently a doctoral candidate at a private Catholic University researching the complex challenges facing the national education system, specifically AI. He brings in-depth knowledge, breadth of expertise, and unmatched experiences that are invaluable to understanding many complex global policy and legal issues at the federal, state, and local levels. As an award-winning innovation pioneer and visionary, he brings research, critical experience, and knowledge to significant challenges from multiple global perspectives and innovative solutions. With his military background, he provides valuable leadership skills, discipline, and dedication to public service, and with his Florida and Washington D.C.-based government and business background, he brings the political and business acumen and savvy necessary for Florida and District 56’s transformational future success.
  • National security through strength; securing our boarder is our constitutional duty and highest priority according to our Constitution.
  • We MUST transform our insurance construct; we have become insurance poor in the state of Florida and we're losing some of our most critical residents as a result: our senior citizens and bright youth.
  • Fast access to high quality, affordable medical care can be achieved through community collaboration and innovative ideas, and strong partnerships with global academia and vendor partnerships.
Education, disaster preparedness, insurance, taxes, medical care, and infrastructure.
My mother, Lucrecia Ann Mapes-Phillips; Jesus Christ (Christian faith); Ronald Reagan (Political ideals and character); Donald J. Trump (strategy, vision, common sense, and Government ideology)
Faith, integrity, excellence, and service before self.
Faith. Service. Resilience -- determination, grit. Excellence.
Represent our district's hardworking men and women (yes, I wrote MEN and WOMEN) by listening to them, not large special interest groups or social or mass media groups, or crowds.
Education transformation.
When the Berlin Wall came down when I was in the Air Force and college in Heidelberg, Germany, studying and working abroad at 23 years of age.
The Christian Bible. It brings faith, hope, strength, and shared connections to so many good and kind people around the globe.
None. I am perfectly fine with who I've become.
Understanding ignorance of our public servants.
Insurance costs and transitory population. I'm very concerned about the ideologies of people coming to FL to dodge taxes from states like NY and CA. We have a great state with the right values; let's keep that way.
No. This limits fresh ideas and creates corrupt and complacent governments, but candidates should be educated and understand the relationship between Federal, State, and local government politics.
Absolutely. We are a notion of shared ideas and ideals. We need to have conversations and discussions across many perspectives and perceptions.
Ronald Reagan was known for his ideology, character, class, and policies, followed by Donald J. Trump for his vision of change, national security (strength), political ideology, and policies.
My 104-year-old church lady told me when we went to mass one day that the secret to a joyful and happy life is no secrets, unless their national and related to our security.
Jokes disguise the truth, so I don't have a favorite. I like to figure out the truth.
Common sense, personal responsibility and self-accountability.
INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE VOTE, not groups, at the ballot box. I have intentionally not sought organizational-type endorsements as part of our campaign success. Hearing the voices of people individually and conducting a thematic analysis of their thoughts, ideas, and ideology help me better understand the issues facing our district without group influence or pressure.
1. Appropriations (Higher Education), PreK-12 and State Administration and Technology. 2. Education and Employment. 3. Infrastructure Strategy
Balancing the need for financial transparency with legitimate concerns is a complex task that governments worldwide face. Striking a balance requires implementing robust checks and balances while safeguarding sensitive information. Achieving greater financial transparency can significantly enhance government accountability and build public trust in democratic institutions.
I support any type of change; we have always to move forward and do things better and more effectively and efficiently.
