Kittitas County Superior Court judge retires from service

Washington: On Saturday, October 1, Judge Michael E. Cooper retires after 22 years of service on the Kittitas County Superior Court. He notified both Governor Chris Gregoire and Washington Supreme Court Chief Justice Barbara Madsen of his plan to retire in August of this year. At 66 years old, Judge Cooper is looking forward to life after the bench and has said, "I just want to get on with my life." The Governor will appoint a new judge to fill the vacancy in November.[1]
