Kitty Rhoades

Kitty Rhoades (b. April 7, 1951) is a former Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. She represented the 30th District from 1998 to 2010.

Rhoades became the secretary of Wisconsin's Department of Health Services in 2013. She was named to this position by Gov. Scott Walker (R) on February 22, 2013.[1]

Rhoades previously worked as a teacher, consultant, and a small business owner.

Legislation sponsored in 2009 includes:

  • AB-148 U.W. Board of Regents: appointment of one citizen member from each congressional district required
  • AB-200 School term: 180 day requirement eliminated; minimum hours of instruction retained
  • AB-230 Photographs on motor vehicle operators license and ID cards: DOT to make available to DOJ in digital format; DOJ to provide electronic access to certain law enforcement agencies

Rhoades was appointed as secretary of Wisconsin's Department of Health Services by Gov. Scott Walker (R) on February 22, 2013.[1]

2010

On March 17, 2010, Rhoades sent a letter out to supporters stating that she would be retiring at the end of her current term.[2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Rhoades won re-election to Assembly District 30, receiving 54.74% of the vote.[3]
