Kobayashi appointed Maui District Court judge

Honolulu, Hawaii: Blaine J. Kobayashi was appointed to the Maui Second Circuit District Court on August 4, 2010. The appointment was made by the Hon. Ronald T.Y. Moon, Chief Justice of the Hawaii Supreme Court, to replace Judge Simone C. Polak, whose term has expired. The appointment awaits confirmation by the state Senate.
Kobayashi is a graduate of the University of Oregon Law School and a partner of the law firm of Carlsmith Ball in Maui. He has previously worked as deputy corporation counsel, a deputy county attorney and deputy prosecuting attorney.[1]
