Kory Slade Kirkland
Kory Slade Kirkland is a judge for Caddo County and Grady County, which are located in Oklahoma District Six. He was appointed by Gov. Mary Fallin (R) on May 18, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Richard VanDyck.[1]
Biography
Kirkland received an undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and a J.D. from Oklahoma City University. At the time of his appointment to the bench in 2017, he was in private practice with Hays & Kirkland. Kirkland's professional experience also includes work as an adjunct professor for the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, a municipal judge for Chickasha and Amber, and an assistant district attorney for Caddo County, Grady County, Jefferson County, and Stephens County.[1]
