Kris Davick-Halfen

Kris Davick-Halfen is a Seventh Judicial District judge for Stearns County, Minnesota. She was appointed to this position in 2004.[1] She ran for election in 2012. Her current term expires in January 2019.
Education
Davick-Halfen received his B.A. from Concordia College in 1981 and his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1985.[1]
Career
Davick-Halfen began her legal career in 1985 as an assistant Wadena County attorney and as an attorney for the firm of Peltoniemi, Johnson and Majors. She worked at this firm until 1986. In 1989, she left her Wadena County position to become an assistant Morrison County attorney. She worked in this capacity until 1998, when she became a child support magistrate for the 7th Judicial District. She worked in this position and as a mediator, guardian ad litem and independent hearing officer from 1998 to 2004.[1]
Elections
2012
Davick-Halfen ran unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012.[2] She received 99.37% of the vote.[3]
