Biography
Kris Goodfellow was born in Dover, New Hampshire. She received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University in 1992. Her professional experience includes working as a journalist, product manager, and chief operating officer.[1]

|● Kris has a successful 25-year career as a journalist, technology professional and entrepreneur. Her deep understanding of local, state and national issues coupled with her ability to build collaboration and culture make her a skilled leader.
● Kris is a fierce competitor. From college athletics to local politics, Kris digs in and doesn't let go. Motivated by her commitment to do the right thing for the people and institutions of the Inland Empire, she will ensure positive outcomes as a state senator.
● Kris has nearly two decades of active community engagement as an Inland Empire resident and business owner. She is the next-door fundraising parent, community organizer and volunteer who makes local schools, events and government successful. Kris stands ready to commit her experience to guide the region to greater success.
Kris is the daughter of a schoolteacher and college football coach. She moved around a lot as a child and Redlands is the place that she's lived longest. Kris graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Journalism. She worked at newspapers for many years before joining Esri in 2001. Today, Kris and her husband run Voyager Search, a software company specializing in enterprise search solutions with a mapping flare. Kris has one son who is a college freshman.- We need more investment in education from early childhood education to college. This is the pathway to creating 21st century jobs that will provide a living wage.
- The homeless crisis must be addressed! The state needs to replicate and fund proven programs. There are simply too many families, Vets and seniors on the streets.
- We must aggressively address the climate crisis and it's sister issue, poor air quality. There is no time to waste!
Education isn't an expense, it is an investment in our future. Every dollar we spend on early childhood education and pre-K, leads to about $1.70 in future tax dollars. We want adults leading healthy and productive lives, so we need to make sure that as children they are given the education and support they need to thrive. Every child in our state deserves to have access to excellent schools and to have the opportunity to pursue higher education.
