Kris Langer
Kris Langer (Republican Party) was a member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 25. She assumed office on January 10, 2017. She left office on January 11, 2021.
Langer (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the South Dakota State Senate to represent District 25. She did not appear on the ballot for the general election on November 3, 2020.
Langer was replaced by Marsha Symens on the general election ballot after Langer withdrew from the race on August 4, 2020.[1]
Langer is a former Republican member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 25 fro 2013 to 2017. She was first appointed to the chamber on August 15, 2013, to fill the vacancy left by Jon Hansen (R).[2]
Biography
Langer attended South Dakota State University. Her professional experience includes working as a realtor for LandMark Realty and Auction. She served on the Dell Rapids City Council as both a member and as president.[2]

Elections for the South Dakota House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Kristi Quaintance and Oran Sorenson were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Kris Langer and Roger Hunt were unopposed in the Republican primary. Hunt and Langer were unopposed in the general election. Quaintance and Sorenson withdrew before the election.[7][8][9]

Langer and her husband, Tracy, have two sons, Cole and Grant. They live in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. Langer has served with the Minnehaha Economic Development Association, the Dell Rapids Economic Development Board, the Dell Rapids Baseball Association, and the Dell Rapids Athletic Booster Club.[2]
