Biography
Lethin received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Washington, and later studied accounting at the North Seattle Community College (now North Seattle College). His professional experience includes real estate appraisal and commercial loan work at HomeStreet Bank and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. His community work includes involvement with the Haller Lake Community Club, Northwest District Council, City Neighborhood Council and the 145th Street Corridor project.[1]

The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was May 15, 2015. All nine council seats were up for election.[2][3] In the Position 5 race, Sandy Brown and Debora Juarez advanced past Debadutta Dash, Mercedes Elizalde, Kris Lethin, Hugh Russell, David Toledo and Halei Watkins in the primary election on August 4, 2015. Juarez defeated Brown in the general election.[4]
