I am currently the Trustee, Area 6 for Newport-Mesa Unified School District which encompasses Dover Shores, Newport Heights and Eastside Costa Mesa. I have two children who attend Mariners Elementary school. My children and the community are my “why” for running for a second term as Trustee. My husband and I volunteer our time and resources to their great public education. I want to ensure our future generation has the tools to be successful in a career and in life. Professionally, I am a senior national account manager for a Fortune 500 company and hold my bachelor’s and MBA degrees from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
  • The most critical issue for students in the United States is stagnation in academic achievement. Despite access to resources, many aren’t reaching their potential due to standardized testing pressures and lack of personalized learning. Enhancing STEAM education and innovative teaching methods can help address this issue.
  • My vision for Newport-Mesa is to cultivate scholars of character who excel academically and ethically. By fostering a love for learning and integrity, I want our district to prepare students to be innovative thinkers and responsible citizens, ready to contribute positively to society.
  • Parents are in my area are concerned about student safety not only physically but mentally. Prioritizing student safety and mental health ensures a secure, nurturing environment. Implementing comprehensive safety protocols, anti-bullying programs, and accessible mental health resources fosters a supportive atmosphere where students can focus on learning and personal growth, building resilience and well-being.
I would like to see NMUSD continue to emphasize on safety programs and small group instruction to foster a supportive learning environment. I would like to see enhanced communication between schools and parents to ensure transparency and collaboration in decision-making processes.

My first job was as an analyst at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO).
I plan to continue to engage with constituents through regular meetings with PTAs and school foundations, surveys, and social media platforms. This approach ensures open communication, allowing me to gather diverse perspectives and address concerns effectively, fostering a collaborative environment for decision-making that benefits our students and community.

Government should be transportation and be fiscally conservative with taxpayers money.
