Kristen Burks was a 2014 judicial candidate for the 41st Judicial Circuit Court in Missouri.[1]

Burks ran for election to the 41st Judicial Circuit Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 5, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Judge Philip Prewitt.

Education
Burks received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.[2]
Career
Burks is the current Macon County assistant prosecutor and attorney for the juvenile office. She formerly worked in Jackson County and Kansas City as an assistant prosecutor, a legal aid attorney, and a municipal public defender.[2]
