Kristen Burks was a 2014 judicial candidate for the 41st Judicial Circuit Court in Missouri.[1]

Burks ran for election to the 41st Judicial Circuit Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 5, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Judge Philip Prewitt. [1] 

Education

Burks received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.[2]

Career

Burks is the current Macon County assistant prosecutor and attorney for the juvenile office. She formerly worked in Jackson County and Kansas City as an assistant prosecutor, a legal aid attorney, and a municipal public defender.[2]
