Kristi Davis is a judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals Eastern Section. She assumed office on August 3, 2020. Her current term ends on September 1, 2030.

Davis ran for re-election for judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals Eastern Section. She won in the retention election on August 4, 2022.


Kristi Davis was appointed to the court by Governor Bill Lee (R) on May 28, 2020, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Charles Susano.[1] She was sworn into office on the court on August 3, 2020.[2]

Prior to joining the appellate court, Davis was a judge on the Sixth Circuit Court, which presides over Knox County in Tennessee.[3] She was elected to the court on August 7, 2014, and began serving on September 1.[4] Davis resigned from the circuit court on July 31, 2020, in order to assume office on the Tennessee Court of Appeals.[5]

Biography

Davis received both her undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of Tennessee.[6] Before her election to the circuit court in 2014, Davis was a partner at the law firm of Hodges, Doughty & Carson in Knoxville, Tennessee. She specialized in civil litigation.[6]
