2014

O'Brien's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[5]

Local Economy & Jobs

  • Excerpt: "Attracting businesses, growing new industries and advancing our technology sectors are my priorities. A prosperous Arizona is one that is open for business and puts Arizonans back to work!"
  • Excerpt: "Growing the job market is only a part of the solution. Arizona must also have the world-class educated and trained workforce to perform these jobs and that requires strengthening our K-12 public education and retaining our college and university graduates."

Public Education

  • Excerpt: "Strengthening Arizona’s K-12 public education is not only an investment in our children but also pays economic dividends allowing us to attract companies looking to bring jobs to Arizona."

Family Issues

  • Excerpt: "Arizona’s rates of domestic violence, trafficking, child abuse and neglect, however, evidence that is not the case for an alarming number of Arizonans. As your State Senator, I will advocate for prevention measures to protect our community from these crimes and to support the victims."

Veterans' Affairs

  • Excerpt: "As your State Senator, I will fight each and every day to keep the benefits our Veterans are rightfully owed, to fill the gaps where services are lacking, and provide support for our troops returning home to Arizona."
