“Is it safe? Can I trust what is being said and who is saying it?” These are the real questions being asked by many voters in this upcoming election. We have all seen news reports and heard personal stories that cause us to stop in our tracks and question how politics are being run in our country and in our state. I am here to tell you, yes, absolutely, there is hope! My name is Kristopher Dahir, and I am running for Secretary of State. Please take a moment to learn more about who I am and what I plan to do in 2023, as your next Secretary of State for this great state of Nevada.
  • Voting and Election Integrity Due to the changes in how we vote and the many accusations of fraud in the last election, there is a general mistrust in our voting protocols. This trust must be rebuilt. In order for this to happen, I believe there are a few components that must be in place.
  • Business Advocate Helping our business community by assuring removal of unnecessary red tape and continuing communication with our chambers and other business entities is essential. Our small businesses are the life blood of our communities and we need to stand with them.
  • Protector Against Securities Fraud This is a growing problem across our country and especially in the state of Nevada. I definitely want to catch and prosecute those who victimize others with scams and false business promises.
While being a city councilman I have served on many boards. Four significant boards I serve on that pertain to this conversation are the Washoe County Health board for 6 years, the Truckee Meadows Water Authority for 5 years as Vice chair and the Western Regional Water Commission for 5 years as Vice chair, 6 years on our homelessness boards.

Health Board- While on the Health Board we serve our community setting policy for dust permitting, mosquito abatement, safe water and non-contamination. One of my focuses on the board has been air quality. It has been my responsibility to help sustain air quality attainment and in truth we are right on the border and need to focus on this. I am aware that the Southern region of our state has been out of attainment for years and it can bring harm to many areas of personal living and a high cost to business.
TMWA & WRWC – both boards serve our greater region as it pertains to water, water quality, water storage, conservation of our rivers and strategically thinking assuring that we are utilizing technology to reprocess and use our water wisely.
CHAB (Community Homelessness Advisory Board)- I personally helped form this board for our region where 2 elected officials from each municipality come together to give direction for our jurisdictions and are held accountable to our community. This board requires quite a balancing act of caring for the

individuals and families in these difficult situations.
The SOS office is the notary for all things that happen and 3rd highest ranking officer in the state. in 1864, when we became a state, the seal of our state was given and entrusted to the first Secretary of State, Orion Clemens. This means that everything that happens from business, marriage, voting, deaths, children, divorces and the like all are looked at and sealed by a final stamp from the SOS office. This is not only significant but crucial that we have a person who is trustworthy and has proven leadership.
I look to our historical figures. Personally as a Christian man, Jesus has been significant in shaping my everyday life. Then we have people like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan. These are all people that tI have spent hours with studying their character. Of course all through reading and studying. But they left quite a path for those who are willing to take it.
Valuing all people and working to build bridges and not division

Personal integrity- this is not something that can be taken but only given away
A commitment to America. Our country and its future is crucial that we stop fighting and work together.

We must have people who have the right tools for the job and understand how to use them
Honest

Anchored
Committed and consistent

Team building
The core responsibility is to stand for truth irregardless of party or pressure. We cannot have people in this office willing to break the law or make up their own rules. We need trustworthy proven leadership.
We have been asked to protect the great seal of our state and that is exactly what I will do.
I love the quote- It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I hope the legacy for me is that I am a man who knew how to love, lead and equip others to be their best. This has been a life long journey for me and one I am still focused on. To see one of my legacy projects please visit our site NVMP.US. This is truly something for our state that is exciting and will touch many lives.
I remember when Ronald Reagan became president. It changed everything for our country and our world. I knew watching a leader like that stand up and bring value and passion that there was a future for me in leadership. The falling of the Berlin Wall was probably the first significant moment. In fact, we have a piece of the wall.
My first job was working at Baskin Robbins when I was 15 years old in Las Vegas at Lamb and Charleston. I worked there for over a year.
A Tale of 3 Kings
It teaches humility in leadership
It is always a struggle to walk alongside other people who do not agree with you or see the values you see. But when you show them value and are willing to listen, this to can become cherished strength instead of just a difficult moment.
The main responsibility is to build a team that can lead and manage all the divisions. The job is too large for one person and so relying on the right staff leadership will be instrumental to seeing a job well done. The main focuses will be.

• Voter Integrity and voter policy reform
• Business advocacy and helping to speed up all processes of entity maintenance and formation

• Working to protect our most vulnerable from all forms of Security fraud and scams
Yes!

This office gets to sit on the State Board of Prison Commissioners, the State Board of Examiners, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board, the State Records Committee, the State Advisory Committee on Participatory Democracy and the Executive Branch Audit Committee.

All of these will help bring the leadership needed to see things in our state turn the corner and take steps to recovering from a the shutdown that occurred.
Yes. This particular office is one where people are expecting someone that is a proven and trusted leader. If you look at my back ground as a pastor for 30 years, running private education for 20 years, a professor for 8 years, and a City councilman for 6 years. These all show you a consistent understanding of applied leadership skills and a character that can be trusted.

Without this in place we are playing a game of chance with an office that is too important.
They must have an understanding of leading a large group of people, a strategic approach that see the big picture and possess skills to bring people together.

My degree is in Organizational Leadership. I literally teach classes on Communication, Conflict Resolution, Business strategies and structure. My training, education, skill set and consistent character are what I bring to the table.
