Kurt J. Stoebe

Education
Stoebe received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota in 1977 and his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1980.[1]
Career
Stoebe began his career as a law clerk for Judge Stephenson of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He also worked as a Humboldt County Attorney and a private practice lawyer with the Stoebe Law Office before taking the bench in 2001. That year, he became a Humboldt County magistrate. He served in this position until 2006, when he was appointed an associate district judge in Second District. In January 2011, Governor Chet Culver appointed Stoebe a district court judge.[2][1]
2012 election
Stoebe was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 77.96% of the vote.[3][4]
