Kurt Lockhart is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for Travis County Clerk in the March 1, 2022 primary. His platform focuses on bringing new ideas to elections administration that will reduce long lines and increase voter turnout. Kurt is a data manager for an education nonprofit, and has worked as a Volunteer Deputy Registrar, poll worker, operations manager, and government strategy consultant. Kurt has a B.A. and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia.
  • More polling locations, open more hours.
  • More training and pay for poll workers.
  • More outreach to new and underserved voters.
I am personally passionate about expanding voter turnout, since voting is the source of change on every single other policy issue.
