Why I’m Running for School Board?
I love the State of Wisconsin and the West Bend community. My reason for running for the West Bend School Board is simple – to “Bring Back Local School Excellence” as it was when Jenny and I chose to move here 23 years ago. With a first class school system that has great facilities for learning and extracurricular activities, the West Bend community will continue to retain and attract great families and individuals to work and live in this community. As a strong supporter of Public Schools, Community, and growing Businesses in West Bend – this is important to me and I am asking for your support and vote.[1][5]

School Board & Politics
I believe that political agendas or beliefs should not be part of the West Bend School Board or System – the West Bend School District is here to serve not only the children and families in the district, but all individuals of the community.
Financially speaking, I would describe myself as being as fiscally conservative – my hope is to bring that decision-making influence to the board with the goal of “Net Zero” tax effect on the West Bend tax payer. We can improve facilities and recruit world class teachers and administrators by saving money on energy consumption and continued budget scrutiny.
It’s time to stop the flow of great teachers and quality administrators leaving the district, and return to providing strong education, along with inspiring cultural and sporting events that all members of our community will be proud to support and attend.[1][5]

—Kurt Rebholz, 2018

Speaking of Arts, Cultural Programs, Clubs, and Sports Teams
Outstanding cultural programs, arts, and sports teams affiliated with the school system are important not only to those participating in the programs, but to all in the community as well. My goal is to support all programs and help recruit more of the youth in our community to take advantage of these programs from a young age through high school.[1][5]
