Biography

Kwon Atlas was born in Denver, Colorado. He earned a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in 2016 and a graduate degree from the University of San Francisco in 2022. His career experience includes working as a nonprofit executive director.[1]

Kwon Atlas is a Denver-Area businessman, philanthropist and community leader, formerly serving as  the Senior Advisor on Community-Based Initiatives and Special Projects in the Office of the Mayor of Denver, Michael B. Hancock and Vice President of the Urban League Young Professionals of Metropolitan Denver Chapter. Atlas is also the Founder and Chief Editor of the Five Points Atlas (Newspaper) and an Urban and Public Affairs Master’s graduate from the University of San Francisco and Colorado State University alum. He currently serves as the Director of the Montbello Building Wealth Center, which promotes entrepreneurship, workforce development and financial literacy in the Montbello neighborhood. Kwon Atlas has spent years working in and serving the community. He is running for the Colorado State House District 8 Representative seat in 2024 to help make Colorado more Affordable, more Safe, more Equitable, and Healthier for all Coloradans.
  • I am Denver-Native who has served his community at all 3 levels of government because I believe in the importance of community representation.
  • I'm an expert in economic development and passionate about helping everyone achieve their dreams.
  • Having formerly served in the Capitol, Kwon Atlas can start on day 1 working on meaningful legislation.
I currently serves as the Director of the Montbello Building Wealth Center, which promotes entrepreneurship, workforce development and financial literacy in the Montbello neighborhood. I believe these are the issues that are top of mind for coloradans in the post-pandemic economy.
