Kyle Davis was born and raised in Massachusetts in a mixed family with two moms, two brothers and two sisters as the middle child. Kyle's family members shared with him the experiences of being part of different oppressed minority groups including a grandmother who was an immigrant from Curacao and a Jewish grandfather whose family members were killed in the Holocaust. Kyle's ancestry also includes Mexican, Indigenous and European heritage. Coming of age as a gay man in a society with so much injustice sparked a passion for equality very early on in life.

After high school, Kyle pursued a career as a recording artist and performer for several years while keeping day jobs such as waitering and delivering for Grubhub. Traveling around the country as a struggling artist and tipped-worker and talking to all different types of Americans along the way only furthered his belief in the need for radical change in the country. He became more active in organizing, marching and speaking out on social media. Witnessing the rise of progressive leaders convinced him to quit music and run for senate.

In his bid for state senate, Kyle won't be taking a dime of corporate PAC money and promises to fight for a bold platform that transforms life for the working class, upends systems of racism and inequality and helps stop climate change . Kyle will work to protect and enhance women, gay, transgender and immigrant rights and promote housing justice and healthcare as human rights.
  • Climate change is the great challenge of our time and must be met with bold, aggressive action to stop or reverse its devastating effects.
  • Healthcare for all is a human right that can be achieved through smart policy making at the state level for those still uninsured.
  • We must prioritize working class families over the big developers through reasonable regulations and investing in quality public housing to keep people in their homes.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is a huge influence of mine. To see someone that was "just a bartender" have the confidence to stand up and run for office because of the love that she has for her community and the passion she has for improving conditions for working people is what inspired me to do the same. Being an Uber Driver and a waiter, I understand how workers can be abused and how a lack of legislation to protect them can affect their ability to put food on the table and a roof over their heads. I've lived it. I am ready to go to Beacon hill and fight for economic equality and thankful to working class champions like AOC for leading the way.
I hope to make significant steps toward eradicating poverty in this state and closing the racial wealth gap through a series of progressive policies.
Being an openly gay man, I understand the struggles of dealing with bigotry all too well. Even on this campaign trail, I've faced several homophobic attacks. I hope that if I am elected to be the first LGBT+ senator of this district, I can be a source for positive representation and an inspiration for queer youth.
The climate crisis is the biggest threat that we face as a nation. Massachusetts has been a leader on so many issues in the past whether it's been education, healthcare or gay rights and it is crucial that we lead on this one as well. We can mobilize together in our goal of transitioning to renewable energy and decarbonizing our cities and infrastructure. We'll also create thousands of good paying, union jobs in the process.
Relationship-building is a critical part of the job of a legislator. No member of the house or senate can pass a law by themselves. We need to build support for good legislation using proven inside and outside strategies as well as supporting primary challengers to those that stand in the way of our popular, pro-working family platform.
Compromise is absolutely necessary when it comes to policymaking. We can't throw out good legislation simply because it isn't perfect. However, there are also ways we can use our platform as leaders to influence what is possible on Beacon Hill. Rallying crowds of people to demand what they deserve to put pressure on moderate and conservative members of the legislature is a strategy that works. I'm willing to negotiate but I'm going to do it from a place of power.
