  • Kyle Herman grew up in Stow and graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls Schools, Ohio Wesleyan University, and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Kyle's experiences include teaching high school history and civics, writing for President Obama's White House Correspondence Office, serving as Assistant to the Mayor of Alexandria, managing democracy programs in Iraq and Lebanon, and leading Rank the Vote Ohio to help bridge partisan divides.
  • First elected in 2023, Councilman Herman has served as Chair of Council's Planning Committee. He has helped to oversee an 18-month total rewrite of Stow's Zoning Codes to bring them into the 21st century to make them easier for residents and businesses while cutting parking minimums and allowing the development of a more walkable mixed-use downtown with boutique shops and restaurants in Stow's city center.
  • Councilman Herman has contributed to many wins for the City of Stow, including: Approving the New Community and Senior Center and planned Entertainment District for new restaurants and an amphitheater (The Amp); preserving 39 acres of wetlands and woods for future parklands; and expanding Stow's Fire/EMS and Police forces with new hires – including School Resource Officers.
