|In 2018, as the organizer for NextGen America in Flagstaff, Kyle registered over 2,500 young people and contributed to an increase in voter turnout in the 2018 election of 300% on NAU's campus. After graduating, Kyle took a job with a Congressional campaign where he met with and listened to the concerns of thousands of Arizona voters. Kyle's passion is in working with young people and increasing their political power. Arizona has seen drastic cuts to public education funding, and Kyle has seen the suffering of students, their families, faculty, and staff as a result. Kyle wants to see our public schools funded by 100% public funds. Kyle wants to see a thriving Arizona with jobs that have benefits (paid sick leave, parental leave, retirement savings, etc.). Most importantly, Kyle wants to see a State Legislature that works for ALL Arizonians, not just wealthy donors.During this campaign, Kyle's goal is to register and engage new voters in the district. By running as a Clean Elections candidate Kyle can focus on talking to voters instead of fundraising.
- Investing in Education - Arizona funds the Department of Corrections more than EVERY SINGLE Community College and University in the state combined! Currently, our state's priorities are backwards. We need to invest in education to ensure a prosperous future for Arizona. Robust funding for our K-12 education system, as well as support for our higher education infrastructure is vital. I will not approve a budget that does not prioritize funding pre-K - 12 public education, vocational training, and higher education.
- Climate Justice - Climate change is a serious and pressing issue. With a water crisis on the horizon in much of the state, we must invest in sustainability efforts to protect our valuable resources and promote equity in the fight for a clean Arizona. Everyone deserves access to clean air and fresh water, whether they be surrounded by forests, mountains, or desert. Kyle supports efforts to move Arizona towards renewable, green energy plans that will protect our environment and keep our state beautiful.
- Thriving Economy - Kyle will prioritize investing in Arizonans, and eliminate the extreme racial disparities in Arizona's poverty rates. We must strengthen our social safety net. No child should be without a home. No college student should be hungry. No one should be bankrupt by medical debt. Kyle supports transitioning to universal healthcare, strengthening Social Security, and expanding eligibility/access to SNAP. Healthy businesses require healthy employees. By investing in the social safety net we can ensure a thriving economy.
