Kyle Renard was a candidate for District 1 representative on the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees in Texas. She ran for the seat in the general election on May 9, 2015. She lost the election.[1]

Renard was elected to the Precinct 2 seat on the Dallas County Schools Board of Trustees in 2013 for a six-year term.[2] She emphasized her experience in that role while campaigning for the Dallas ISD board seat. Her campaign website highlighted one of her achievements in that role, saying:

As a Dallas County Schools Board Trustee, Kyle was instrumental in securing the DCS canine unit to sweep the school buses for illegal drugs. "This is a tool the school districts can use to keep our children safe in the school environment". This important collaboration between County and City school boards is just one of many initiatives Kyle implemented, leading the way for better schools in Dallas.[3]
