Kyle Rinaudo is a dynamic Georgian, teacher, musician, and organizer who proudly attended the same Acworth high school as his mother. In the past several years, Kyle has served as president of Acworth's Board of Young Aldermen, a public school teacher, law firm administrator, and candidate for State House of Representatives, bringing a wealth of experience in local government to his campaign to represent House District 35.

Kyle has been invested in Acworth and Kennesaw his whole life. He attended North Cobb High School as a student in the International Studies Magnet Program, where he competed in high school debate, hosted the school's weekly TV show, and served as Drum Major for the North Cobb Marching Band. He participated in Acworth's municipal politics as a member of the Acworth Board of Young Aldermen, which advocates community service and civic participation for Georgia's young voters. After one year on the board, Kyle was elected as its president, and he subsequently led the city's efforts to promote safe driving habits among young drivers and support community service projects for North Cobb students.

In 2018, Kyle decided to run for office with the mission of inspiring more young people to be engaged in local politics. His passion for issue-based advocacy-Expanding healthcare, investing in our schools, and protecting the environment-drove his decision to run again in 2020 and finish the job. He is committed to serving Acworth and Kennesaw in 2020 and beyond.
  • Expanding access to healthcare and protecting reproductive rights in Georgia
  • Investing in our public schools and ensuring our teachers and students have the resources we need
  • Preserving and protecting Georgia's environment in the 21st century
The issues I'm passionate about all involve the issues that directly impact the lives of my community. It's personally important to me that all people in our state have access to quality, affordable healthcare, that all Georgia students are treated with dignity, respect, and equal rights, that we all have the freedom to vote in our local elections, and that we're protecting our environment for future generations. These are the issues that "wake me up in the morning" and are the reasons I decided to run for office.
The elected officials I truly admire and hope to emulate are Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and certainly President Obama and Vice President Biden. In all these cases, I admire that these elected officials used (and continue to use) their position in leadership to truly serve their communities and engage more people in the political process, in addition to fighting to create a more just, equitable society for our future.
I'm sure this is not the earliest event I remember, but the one that comes to mind is the election of President Obama in 2008. I remember watching President Obama speak that night and feeling so optimistic about the future of America, and the promise that politics could indeed be a noble pursuit in service to others.
My very first paid job was as a Camp Counselor at Camp Acworth, our city's public summer day camp! I loved working with my young students throughout that summer, and it led to me taking my current job teaching music in public schools.
