Brodie was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in December 2006 to succeed A. Rex Victor.[1][2]

Brodie received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside and a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law.[2]

Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County, Brodie was an attorney.[2]
