I’m running to keep Pittsboro moving forward while protecting what makes it special. I’ve served as a Planning Board member, Commissioner, and now Mayor, giving me a deep understanding of how our town works and grows. As an engineer, I manage large infrastructure projects for a global tech company, which helps me bring practical, data-driven solutions to challenges like water, housing, and transportation. I also serve as Board Chair for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina, keeping me connected to local families and youth. I’m committed to a Pittsboro that’s welcoming, sustainable, and true to its small-town heart.
- Community and Quality of Life
Pittsboro thrives when people feel connected. I’ll focus on keeping our downtown vibrant, expanding parks and sidewalks, and supporting local events and programs that bring residents together. By investing in safe, welcoming public spaces, we strengthen our sense of community and ensure Pittsboro remains a great place to live, work, and visit.
- Managed Growth
Growth should reflect our community’s values. I’ll continue guiding development that fits Pittsboro’s character, supports local businesses, and protects our natural resources. Thoughtful planning helps us maintain what makes Pittsboro special while preparing for the opportunities that come with smart, balanced growth.
- Infrastructure and Partnerships
Strong partnerships are key to Pittsboro’s future. I’ll continue working with Chatham County, Sanford, and state agencies to improve roads, sidewalks, and public facilities that support our growing community. By planning regionally and investing wisely, we can enhance safety, mobility, and quality of life while keeping Pittsboro’s small-town character strong.
I’m passionate about policies that strengthen community connection, support smart growth, and improve quality of life. That includes planning that protects Pittsboro’s small-town character, investing in safe and walkable streets, and fostering strong partnerships across the region. I care deeply about transparency, collaboration, and making sure residents have a voice in shaping the town’s future.
Good leadership starts with listening, respect, and integrity. In Pittsboro, that means hearing from residents, working closely with town staff, and collaborating with partners across the region. Elected officials should communicate openly, be transparent in their decisions, and always put the community’s best interests first.
A mayor’s role is to lead with vision, build consensus, and ensure decisions reflect the community’s values. That means fostering open communication, supporting town staff, and helping set long-term goals that balance growth, infrastructure, and quality of life. The mayor represents all residents and works to keep Pittsboro moving forward together.
Leadership means bringing people together around shared goals. A mayor sets the tone for collaboration, transparency, and respect. To me, it’s about helping others succeed—residents, staff, and businesses alike—and ensuring every voice has a chance to be heard in shaping the future of our town.
The mayor’s top priority should be building trust and alignment among the board, staff, and community. With a manager overseeing day-to-day operations, the mayor focuses on leadership—setting goals, encouraging teamwork, and ensuring decisions are thoughtful, transparent, and in line with community priorities.
I love Pittsboro’s sense of community. People here look out for one another, support local businesses, and care deeply about our town’s future. You can feel it downtown, at community events, and in everyday conversations. Pittsboro blends small-town charm with a creative, welcoming spirit that makes it a truly special place to live.
Our biggest challenge will be managing growth while protecting Pittsboro’s character and quality of life. As the region grows, we must plan responsibly, invest in infrastructure, and strengthen partnerships. Balancing opportunity with preservation will be key to keeping Pittsboro a great place to live, work, and visit.
The ideal relationship is one of partnership and respect. Pittsboro benefits when the state supports local flexibility while providing resources for infrastructure, transportation, and environmental protection. Open communication and collaboration ensure state policies work for both our community and the broader region.
Cities and the federal government work best when they share goals and communicate openly. Federal programs play a key role in infrastructure, environmental protection, and housing. Pittsboro thrives when federal support helps small towns address local challenges while protecting natural resources and quality of life.
It should be built on trust, accountability, and shared commitment to community safety. The mayor supports law enforcement in protecting residents while ensuring fairness, transparency, and respect for all. A strong partnership helps officers feel valued and residents feel safe—both essential to a healthy community.
One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is helping bring the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina to Pittsboro. The organization has served local youth for more than 30 years, and Pittsboro became its newest club through strong community partnerships and local support. After helping start the Pittsboro Club, I later took on leadership of the full organization, where I continue working to expand opportunities for children and families across our region.
