  • 1. Housing that’s actually obtainable Asheville needs housing that people who live and work here can realistically get. I’ll champion smart planning, missing‑middle options, and the removal of unnecessary barriers—grounded in neighborhood reality and citywide economics. That means increasing supply where it fits, protecting legacy neighborhoods, and pairing housing with services through our Continuum of Care. Residents deserve clear metrics, public reporting, and outcomes they can verify.
  • 2. A living‑wage city that works for workers A city can’t thrive if the people who keep it safe and running can’t afford to live here. I’ll fight to pay Fire & Rescue and essential staff above a living wage, strengthen Parks & Rec, and run a tighter ship—using the accountability mindset I built over 30 years as a senior federal Contracting Officer. We must cut waste, improve performance, and direct dollars to what actually works.
  • 3. Equity rooted in dignity and safety Equity isn’t special treatment—it’s fair access to safety, services, and opportunity. I’ll stand for dignity and safety for everyone, including trans youth and youth in transition, and I’ll prioritize policies that break cycles of uneven investment. My focus is lowering the temperature, rebuilding trust, and delivering results so every resident feels seen, protected, and included in Asheville’s future.
I’m passionate about public policies that strengthen trust, protect taxpayer resources, and deliver measurable results. My background in federal contracting and nonprofit leadership drives my focus on transparent stewardship, ethical governance, and effective systems. I care deeply about obtainable housing, a living‑wage city workforce, and equitable access to safety and opportunity. My priority is rebuilding trust through clear processes, accountable leadership, and outcomes residents can see and verify.
