|I am currently a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves JAG Corps and an attorney at Corbally, Gartland & Rappleyea, LLP in Poughkeepsie.
I am a proud veteran of the United States Army and received a Bronze Star during my deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2011 and the Meritorious Service Medal and my honorable discharge from the Army in 2014.
I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, which I attended on an ROTC scholarship, and Albany Law School. I received my Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics as well as the Distinguished Military Graduate Award.
Following law school, I served as an active duty member of the United States Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps, where I worked as an attorney at the United States Military Academy West Point.
From 2017 to 2018 I served as a Village Trustee in Millbrook.
- believe we must reopen and enthusiastically support small business. The American landscape has changed in response to COVID-19 and rioting as many Americans are fleeing large cities such as New York City for places like those here in NY-19. Such an exodus has created the need for small businesses and we need to provide tax cuts via opportunity zones to get them up, running, and thriving! I will fight to bring more business, more jobs, and more prosperity to NY-19.
- I will be a champion for local farming and agriculture. The importance of local farms and agriculture has never been more clear than it is today. In addition to being beneficial for our small businesses and personal health and nutrition, local farms and agriculture exist outside of national food supply chains- which as we have seen in the recent COVID-19 pandemic are subject to interruption - and will ensure that no American goes hungry. The farming and agricultural communities have my unequivocal support and I will work tirelessly to ensure that my fellow Representatives recognize the vital importance of farming and agriculture to our nation.
- We have to protect our communities and keep our families safe. We need law and order not anarchy and pandemonium. We need to support our brothers and sisters in law enforcement and not those who riot and loot and threaten to burn our communities down to the ground. The police put their lives on the line for our safety, the very least we can do is provide them with the equipment they need along with our gratitude.
Protecting our Farms and Agriculture - President Trump's Navigable Waters Protection Rule brought clarity to what constitutes the waters of the U.S. I look forward to working with the President on strengthening the protections for our farms and rural communities.
Prescription Drugs - Generic medication increases competition in the marketplace and lowers the cost of prescription drugs for all Americans. We have made great strides under the Trump Administration and we absolutely must continue this trend.
