L. Suzanne Owsley
L. Suzanne Owsley is a former district court judge for the 25A Judicial District and the 25B Judicial District, which presides over Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba counties of North Carolina. She was elected in 1998 and retired from the court on January 1, 2014.[1]
Education
Owsley received her undergraduate degree from Emory University and her J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law.[2]
Career
Before she became a judge, Owsley served as an assistant district attorney for sixteen years.[1]
2010 election
Owsley defeated F. Wesley Sigmon in the general election, winning 58.37% of the vote.[3]
