This measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of $2.59 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to further pay for facility improvements, technology upgrades and new equipment buying in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
LaCrosse School District #126 Joint with Adams County #87 Special Election Proposition #1 The Board of Directors of LaCrosse School District #126 adopted Resolution No. 10-11-06 concerning a Educational Capital Project Levy. The proposition would authorize the modernization, renovation and improvement of the existing facilities, including technology infrastructure, and the acquisition of equipment; and authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes on all taxable property within the District. Approximate Levy Collection Rate/$1,000: $2.59 Levy Year: 2012-2017 Assessed Value: $366,666. All as provided in District Resolution No. 10-11-06. Should this proposition be approved?[3] |
