Laapui Talauega Eleasalo Vaalele Ale (also known as Salo) was the Lieutenant Governor of American Samoa. He assumed office on January 3, 2021. He left office on January 3, 2025.
Ale ran for re-election for Lieutenant Governor of American Samoa. He lost in the general runoff election on November 19, 2024.
Biography
Talauega Eleasalo Vaalele Ale was born in Nua & Se’etaga, American Samoa. Ale earned a B.A. in political science from Truman State University in 1990 and a J.D. from Drake University Law School in 1994. His career experience includes working as a lawyer with the Faegre & Benson law firm and as a legislative assistant to former U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye.[1]
