Labor and Industrial Relations Committee, Louisiana House of Representatives
The Labor and Industrial Relations Committee is a standing committee of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
Per the House Rules, committees of the Louisiana House of Representatives are assigned by the Speaker of the House.[1] It is unclear when committees are assigned. A majority of appointed members make up a committee's quorum.[2] The Speaker and Speaker Pro Tempore serve as ex officio members of every committee.[3]

“ | To this committee shall be referred, in accordance with the rules, all legislative instruments, messages, petitions, memorials and other matters relating to the following subjects: Labor and industrial relations generally; Wages and hours of labor; Workers' compensation; Labor standards; Child labor; Health and safety of labor; Unemployment compensation; Labor retirement laws; Labor disputes.[4][5] | ” |
