Lacey Merica is the former Subdistrict 8 member of the Omaha Board of Education in Nebraska. She ran for re-election in the general election on November 4, 2014. Merica was first elected to the board in 2013.[1] Lacey Merica won the general election on November 4, 2014.[2] While the position is nonpartisan, Merica is a Democrat.[3] Merica did not seek re-election in 2018.

Merica graduated from Omaha Bryan High School in 2001. She earned her bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2006 and her MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2011. As of 2014, she was an academic advisor at Bellevue University. She previously worked as a claims adjuster for Applied Underwriters and as an administrative aide for the state.[4]

The election in Omaha featured four seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. There was no primary election. Subdistrict 2 incumbent Marque A. Snow, Subdistrict 4 incumbent Justin T. Wayne and Subdistrict 6 incumbent Matt Scanlan ran unopposed. Subdistrict 8 incumbent Lacey Merica faced challenger Marilyn Rickley.
