A Lafayette Township Police Levy Replacement measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the township of Lafayette which is in Medina County.
The measure was approved
- YES 736 (62.37%)
- NO 444 (37.63%)[1]
This measure sought to replace the current police levy with one set at a rate of $.24 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to continue to pay for police protection services offered by Medina county for the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| A replacement of a portion of an existing levy, being a reduction of one-tenth (0.1) of a mill, to constitute a tax for the benefit of Lafayette Township for the purpose of the payment of costs incurred by Lafayette Township as a result of a community policing contract with the Medina County Sheriff in order to obtain police protection specifically for Lafayette Township at a rate not exceeding two and four-tenths (2.4) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty-four cents ($0.24) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
