Lake Chelan School District No. 129 Tax Levy Replacement Proposition (February 2013)
A Lake Chelan School District No. 129 Tax Levy Replacement proposition was approved on the February 12, 2013 election ballot in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan Counties, which are in Washington.
This proposition authorized the Lake Chelan School District to impose a replacement property tax levy of $1.25 million per year for five years in order to fund capital improvements in the District. The estimated property tax rate from this tax is 0.7459 mill ($0.7459 per $1,000 of assessed valuation).[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | The Board of Directors of Lake Chelan School District No. 129 adopted Resolution No. 2012-04, concerning a proposition to finance capital improvements. This proposition would authorize the district to levy a total of $6,250,000 in excess taxes through 2018 at an approximate $0.7459 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation on all taxable property within the district to replace an expiring bond levy. Said levies will be collected in years 2014-2018.[2] | ” |
