I am a mom; I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful children. I worked as a federal officer before filing to run for the House of Representatives. I have a solid working and experiential knowledge of government agencies and protecting our borders. I loved working as a federal officer, and I also love America.
- Securing our Borders
- Upgrading Infrastructure
- Return to a Thriving Economy
I am passionate about securing our borders. If our borders were secure and our laws were being implemented, then we would have a better America. I am also passionate about rebuilding our economy by Investing in small businesses, protecting the family unit, and ending Human Trafficking.
There are a lot of people during my life I've grown to love and respect. Many of them are not known to the public. But have been very influential in forming my character and making me become the woman I am today. Biblical characters: When you read their stories and study their lives, they show you a sense of endurance, strength, and commitment. The character needed to work as a representative. Above all, Jesus has been my ultimate example of sacrifice, Love, and Humility.
I like to read articles and books on the life of our U.S. Presidents. Learning about many of their humble beginnings and the obstacles they went through can be encouraging. Many of them have fascinating stories that give you a different viewpoint on what made them become who they are. Those who knew God had a praying mom who was very influential in their lives.
The characteristics or principles most important for an elected official are those who put the needs of those they are representing above their own. They are someone who is not easily shaken and demonstrate strength. This individual would have integrity and not compromise in their values. They can connect with those they are representing and they are someone who has long and short-term vision for their constituents, the nation, and themselves.
The qualities I possess that make me successful in this office are that I've always tried to live my life with integrity. I am an individual who is not easily compromised in my values. I am easygoing with others. I am a visionary and I have the humility to know that I can always learn from others. I'm honest and unassuming. I am open to the ideas of others. We all need the input and feedback of others.
The core responsibilities are presenting the truth with accuracy, representing constituent's needs, communicating clearly, and standing firm in convictions.
The legacy I would like to leave to my family and my country is that I was a defender of American principles. I upheld the Constitution and lived a life of integrity and vision. I fought for what is right and what will make America prosperous.
I believe 9/11 was my first historic event. I was in my 20s at the time, and I was living in New York City. I lost friends that day. My life was forever changed.
My very first job was at a manufacturing company that produced nuts and bolts for airplanes. After classes in high school, I would go and make copies and fax all the orders for the day.
My favorite book is the Bible. Of course, it's a book that is relevant throughout the ages. It gives you the ability to gain wisdom and it guides your future. It's a book where everyone can learn something.
If I could be a fictional character I would be a Superhero. Superheros exemplify extraordinary power and strength. They are always doing something positive for their community. They are helpers, protecting others and they are wise in how they perform their tasks. I want to be an everyday superhero.

Everyone has struggles, and though I'm not perfect! I often strive to be a perfectionist. That can be my downfall. I have to remind myself that yes! Things can be accomplished better don't beat yourself up if you don't do it perfectly.
The U.S. House of Representatives has a unique ability to make and pass laws that affect the land. Their legislation helps to make America function and operate as a unified body.
I don't think a representative should have experience only in government or politics; if they did, the mindset of the representatives would be the same for everyone, and they wouldn't have variety. I believe having an array of experiences helps to keep the opportunities and ideas relevant and fresh.
I believe immigration is one of our challenges. It's a problem that has been ignored by most administrations for years. It continues to be a problem and It is time to resolve this issue. There are so many loopholes in our immigration laws. if these issues are not resolved they can cause great problems for America. Illegal immigration goes along with our mishandled immigration laws.
Yes! Two years are sufficient term length for each representative. It gives the representatives the time to establish themselves if they are freshmen and prove their abilities.
I support term limits. When politicians start to work to promote themselves and not the people or community they are working for, then they need to move on. We witness politicians who get comfortable in the seat they hold and never work for the community.
There have been some great representatives in America's history. Around 1832, Joseph Rainey was voted in as one of America's first Black House of Representatives. He served under the Republican party and helped break the barrier for African Americans serving in an office capacity. Though he had a lot of adversities to conquer and probably wasn't a perfect person, he helped open the door for an individual like myself to serve her District and Country.
As I go out door knocking, I've gotten the opportunity to hear the heartbeat of the community. Many have expressed their joy at me running. Some have told me they are looking for more fresh ideas for the community. Some have even expressed my boldness to run.
Oh my! My favorite jokes are from my children and they are Knock Knock jokes. They may be corny or hilarious I will always laugh because they came from my children.
I look at policymaking as a marriage. For a marriage to work, there has to be a compromise among both parties. The same has to be accomplished by the Democrats and the Republican Party. What the American public usually sees is the opposite. Bills will be passed in the House, but disclosure of what these bills are covering is usually not given to the American people. This won't work. There has to be transparency among both parties.
The bill for raising revenue originated in the House of Representatives. Article 1 Section 7clause 1. As a representative of the house it's my duty to represent those within my district. They are trusting me to represent them and to work on their behalf. So my priority would be to put the people first and fight for what is needed within the district.
Since Congress can only investigate matters connected to legislation it should be used wisely and for the benefit of the people of the United States.

UPGRADE INFRASTRUCTURE
Houston often gets hurricanes and we also know with hurricanes comes flooding. There is no surprise that district 18 is one of those areas that can experience major, devastating floods. My goal is to implement strategies to update our infrastructure so these dangers can be limited.
SECURING OUR BORDERS
Before working in immigration I was clueless as to what happens at our borders. I’ve been working in immigration for 12 years and my eyes have been opened. Our immigration problem is out of control and our laws are extremely outdated. Our immigration laws have to match our current immigration crisis and should be implemented, right now though that’s not the case. If our immigration laws were to match our current troubles and the laws were implemented we would see the majority of our immigration problems solved. My job is to bring a resolution to our immigration crisis.
PROTECTING FAMILY UNIT
We all know that the family unit is under attack but its time to protect our families. Our children are being bombarded with ideas and concepts which their innocent minds should not have exposure. Parents are considered the bad guy because they want the best for their children. I stand with our leaders in Texas who promote parental rights, allowing children be children. I stand with our Texas teachers as their desire is for the well being of our children. When I am in office we will continue to make the family unit first and promote healthy ideas and concepts.
HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Human trafficking is real and have been in full operation in Houston for many years. It’s time to bring a stop to human trafficking not only in Houston but in America.
THRIVING ECONOMY
We once had a thriving economy, unemployment was low and our economy was booming. This current administration has implemented skyrocketing inflation, families living paycheck to paycheck making it difficult to pay bills, put food on the table and pay rent. It’s time to get back to a booming economy where we support hard workers, family, savings and investing again.
Term Limits
I believe it is time to have term limits for government officials. We have congressional leaders in office for 20, 30 even 50 years. If you have been in one position for this amount of time and haven’t made significant changes in your district or nation then you are a career politician and its time to move on. It’s time to vote career politicians out and implement term limits
