Five seats on the Lancaster School District Board of Directors were up for general election on November 3, 2015. A primary election was held on May 29, 2015. Incumbents Randolph Carney, Linda Owens and Candace Roper filed to run for the five seats, along with newcomers Cheryl Desmond and Edith Gallagher. All five candidates won without opposition in the general election. Incumbent Jennifer Desmarais did not file to run for re-election.
Since there were as many candidates as seats up for election, all five proceeded from the primary to the general election. Challenger Luis Morales initially filed to run in the at-large race, but he withdrew from the race before the primary election. Incumbent Stacey Marten withdrew from the race after the primary election. The Democratic Party used a substitute nomination certificate to nominate Gallagher in the place of Marten. No independent candidates filed to run in the general election.[1][2]
