Lance Evans (Mississippi)

Lance Evans is the Mississippi Superintendent of Education. Evans assumed office on July 1, 2024.
The Mississippi State Board of Education appointed Evans in December 2023. The Mississippi State Senate confirmed Evans in April 2024.[1]
Biography
Lance Evans earned a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, a master’s degree from the University of Mississippi, and a doctorate from Delta State University. Evans’ career experience includes working as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and Superintendent of Schools for the New Albany School District. [2]
