Biography

Lance Fourstar served in the U.S. Army from 1997 to 1998. He earned a high school diploma from Marcos de Niza High School. He earned two associate degrees from Fort Peck Community College—one in 2009 and another in 2022. His career experience includes working as a business owner.[1]

  • I am Montana’s Grandson as the second great Grandson to Grandfather of Montana, Assiniboine Chief Redstone. I work towards producing legislation for my district and the State including MMIP, Indian Education, Community Health Aide Programs, protecting our air, land, water and cultural resources. Veteran/Suicide/Substance Abuse Prevention champion. I promote increased State/Tribal Relations and Tribal Consultation. Passing a balanced State Budget is the primary goal as a State Representative, knowing all sections of the state budget need strong advocacy to protect and care for our State. Advocate for energy solutions and economic development for state revenue generation. I will produce legislation from thought to code in the MCA.
  • I plan on continuing to commit to serving our people of Montana for as long as possible to Elder Statesmanship.
  • Partisan politics are superseded by the need of every Montanan’s right to a healthy, safe and prosperous Montana for countless future generations. Stewardship of our natural resources and wildlife transcend partisanship to keep Montana beautiful.
I am passionate about preventing human trafficking and narcotics away from our communities and believe to do that, multifaceted approaches need to be taken through education to prevent future missing and murdered Indigenous People, who go missing in a disproportionate amount thought Indian Country. We have every reason to protect each other as neighbors in the big small town of Montana.
Senator Jonathon Windy Boy has mentored me for the past two sessions as well as our current Representative. I take these teachings as valuable lessons from gentlemen who have seen decades in office at the State Legislature. I hav received multiple endorsements in the last election from members of the Montana American Indian Caucus and hope to contribute bye to have their support. I have the support of my children, grandchildren and their peers who need me to be their voice.
