I have been a proud resident of Aiken County/North Augusta for 20 years. I have worked at E-Z-GO for 20+ years, currently as Director, Regulatory Compliance. My education is in mechanical engineering. My wife and I love this community and all it has to offer.

I believe in limited, transparent government that prioritizes our citizens' best interests and am dedicated to seeing North Augusta and Aiken County thrive. I served for two years on the Aiken County Board of Elections, ensuring fair and legal elections, Prior to my time on the Aiken County Board of Elections, I organized my voting precinct for the Aiken Republicans, serving as its president and supported other Republican candidate campaigns.

Additionally, I have served on my HOA board for 5 years and I hold the position of treasurer. I have experience with many of the types of issues that arise at the county government level, from various resident issues to budgets and working to gain approval for various projects/expenditures.
  • Keep our taxes low - Aiken County has relatively low taxes and a great quality of life. My goal is to keep it that way.
  • Crime - I will support our sheriff and first responders to ensure they are funded and supported. The rule of law is absolutely critical and must be upheld fairly.
  • Growth and Infrastructure - Aiken County is a great place to live, so naturally there is growth. Existing residents want their children to be able to build their lives here, and many others from outside the area are relocating here as well. We must manage the growth and infrastructure to maintain the quality of life and preserve key natural resources. I will push for development of a comprehensive plan, similar to York County, SC.
I am passionate about limited government as intended in the Constitution.

School choice is very important to me, as I support equal opportunity for all. I do not support attempts to create equal outcomes through redistribution of wealth Outcomes should be based on a person's merits, character and work ethic.

I support religious liberty, the Second Amendment, Personal Responsibility, Traditional Values and a Strong National Defense and Secure Borders.
The signers of the Declaration of Independence. These people were willing to lose their lives, livelihoods, reputations etc.. so that this amazing republic could be established, providing for the most successful, freest country on this planet.
Honesty and understanding the limits of government in a republic.
I am detailed and willing to understand issues, projects etc.. and look at things from different points of view. My day job is in engineering, with my bachelors and masters degrees in mechanical engineering. I will do my best to apply logic, reason and input from constituents to make good decisions.
This office, we need representation for the 4th district, which is a good portion of North Augusta, as well as watching out for Aiken County as a whole and working with the other members of the council to ensure that Aiken County prospers and that all taxpayers get appropriate value, regardless of whether they live in one of the larger cities, small towns or in the rural areas.
There is a saying: You can please most of the people some of the time, some of the people most of the time, but you can never please everyone. My goal is not to please everyone, but to look at things through a conservative lens where private property, personal responsibility, low taxes and limited government are very important and make decisions that will be looked at as good decisions in the long run by a majority of the people.
I remember waiting in long gas lines in the late 70's and my parents worrying about the car running out of gas while in the line. Stagflation and gas shortages were a bad time in America. Other stand out memories are when President Reagan was shot, the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, 9-11-2001....
My very first official job was bagging groceries at Publix Supermarkets. I worked that job all 4 years of high school. I was promoted to the produce department and worked to stock shelves and took on additional responsibilities.
I don't know if this is my favorite, but this book really stuck in my mind - Grapes of Wrath. The story was very vivid, and I could really relate to the struggles of family having to leave Oklahoma and head to California, because of things that had happened in my live as a child.
My mom took us out of school for nearly 4 years. There was no organized instruction or learning during this time. I missed 3rd, 4th, 5th and 3 quarters of 6th grade. Going back to school after this was very challenging. I had missed so many things that I had to work very hard to catch up. I didn't let this hold me back... I stepped up, put in the work to learn and graduated high school at the top of my class, I believe I was either 3rd or 4th according to GPA. I went to college, paid for nearly all of it myself and paid off my student loans when I was finished with college.
Did you hear about the race between the tomato and the head of lettuce?
The lettuce was ahead and the tomato was trying to ketch up!
Representative Bill Hixon, the current sitting District 4 Councilman, Kelley Mobley and several members of North Augusta City Council.
Financial transparency is extremely important. The tax revenue that the government collects must be spent in ways that benefit the people paying those taxes. The tax payers absolutely need to be able to understand where money is spent. The government needs to listen to the people paying the taxes and work to ensure that they are getting value from those tax dollars.
