Lanette Robinson is a resident of Sacramento County, California. Robinson studied journalism at San Jose State University. She was employed as a risk control analyst with Ocwen Financial from 2007 to 2010 and as a business control analyst with Bank of America from 2011 to 2012. Robinson has worked as a mortgage loan underwriter with Wells Fargo Bank since 2012. She spent four years as a member of the Del Paso Elementary School District Board of Education.[1]

Lanette Robinson and former board member Roger Westrup lost to incumbent Rebecca Sandoval in the race for the Area 6 seat in the general election on June 3, 2014. This was a rematch of the 2012 election that resulted in Sandoval ousting Westrup from the seat.
