The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was May 28, 2014. Lanny Morrison was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbents Bob Thorpe and Brenda Barton were unopposed in the Republican primary. Thorpe and Barton defeated Morrison in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
