Larresa Taylor is a member of the Milwaukee Common Council in Wisconsin, representing District 9. She assumed office on April 18, 2023. Her current term ends in 2028.

Taylor ran for re-election to the Milwaukee Common Council to represent District 9 in Wisconsin. She won in the general election on April 2, 2024.

Biography

Taylor received a bachelor's degree in biology from Alverno College in 1998, an M.A. in the administration of justice from Marquette University in 2005, an M.A. in education from Rockford University in 2007 and a Ph.D. in education from Cardinal Stritch University in 2011.[1] She is a special education teacher in the Milwaukee Public School District.[2]

The city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, held elections for mayor and city council on April 5, 2016. A primary election took place on February 16, 2016. All 15 city council seats were up for election. Chevy Johnson and Sherman Morton defeated Larresa Taylor, Keith Bailey and Tracey Dent in the Milwaukee City Council District 2 primary election.[3]
