A special election for the position of New Hampshire House of Representatives District Strafford 1 was called for November 10. A primary election took place on September 22.[6]

The seat was vacant following Robbie Parsons' (R) death on June 22, 2015.[7]

Larry Brown (D) was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Robert Graham defeated Frank Emiro in the Republican primary. Brown was defeated by Graham in the special election.[8][9]

Larry Brown and Candace Cole-McCrea defeated Cory Mattocks in the Democratic primary, while incumbent John Mullen and incumbent Robbie Parsons were unopposed in the Republican primary. Brown, Cole-McCrea, Mullen and Parsons faced off in the general election.[10] Republican incumbents Mullen and Parsons defeated Brown and Cole-McCrea in the general election.[11]
