Larry M. Collins is a former Third Judicial District judge for Waseca County, Minnesota. Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed him to this position on September 28, 2005, and he was elected in 2008 to a full term. He was re-elected in 2014.[1][2] Collins retired in January 2017 after turning 70, the state's mandatory retirement age.[3]

Education

Collins graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's in journalism from the University of Minnesota in 1969. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. He received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1972. He previously attended International Summer School at the University of Oslo in 1967.[1]
