Larry D. Martin was a judge of the New York Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District. He left office in 2020.

Education

Martin received a B.A. from Johnson C. Smith University in 1970, a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1973 and a U.M. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974.[1]

Career

Martin began his career in 1975 as a staff attorney for Mead Data Central. The following year, he joined Harlem Legal Services as a staff attorney. In 1980, he became a regional attorney for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. He then worked as corporation associate counsel for the New York State Mortgage and Loan Administration from 1983 to 1992. His judicial career began in 1992 when he joined the New York City Civil Court. He was then elected to the supreme court in 1994.[1]
