Retired Naval Officer. Vietnam veteran. Born Again Christian. Married with grandchildren.
  • I came out of 9 years of retirement to fight for my grandchildren . . . It's time to take back Michigan.
  • Break the strangle hold of the power brokers in the Michigan Legislature, so representatives are free to represent their constituents.
  • LESS government is BETTER government
The rights of parents and legal guardians "to determine and direct the care, teaching and education of their children." MCL 380.10

Smaller state government. Reducing regulations. Less governmental micro-management.

Fiscal responsibility. Spending "other people's" money wisely.
The Apostle Paul. Because of his dedication and commitment to Christ.
Transparency, fidelity and courage.

Transparency: maintain the same storyline when talking to people, irrespective of the group you are with. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Don't change your position just because you are in front of a different group.

Fidelity: If you said you would do something. DO IT. Don't make meaningless promises.

Courage: The swamp has many ways of attacking and beating down a new representative into submission. Be strong and courageous. Joshua 1:9 Have a plan to beat the SWAMP.
Leaving my grandchildren with the same country I grew up in.
Holy Bible (NASB or NIV) both Old and New Testaments
The Navy Hymn (Eternal Father Strong to Save)
Economic growth. Reversing the trend of people leaving Michigan to find suitable employment elsewhere.
Fighting back the encroachment of far left political dogma.
Previous experience is only "marginally" important. Often times, it really means that the legislator has built a cozy relationship with lobbyists. According to Patrick Colbeck's book, "Wrestling Gators," more legislative bills are written by Special Interest Groups each year than are written by legislators.
NO. I am running for this office for ONE major reason: To break the strangle hold that a small handful of "power brokers" in Lansing have over the Legislature. I have a plan. And, if I am successful, we will TAKE BACK MICHIGAN. The legislators will again be free to represent the best interests of their constituents rather than the best interests of the "power brokers." I am leaving 9 years of retirement to fight this fight for my grandchildren. I want to leave my grandchildren the same state and same country that I was blessed to inherit. After I accomplish my mission, I'm going back to watching by grandchildren's dance recitals and hockey games . . . not to forget steelhead and brown trout fishing, and deer hunting! Who's with me?????
Fraulein Whitmer OVERSTEPPED her authority during COVID. The Legislature was ineffective he defeating this over-reach. It is time the Legislature grow a spine! Time to drain the swamp.
