Campaign website

Kidd’s campaign website stated the following:

Economy
Democrats either tax us too much or they borrow against our children and grandchildren too much. Sometimes they do both! As a conservative small business owner, Larry Kidd will bring to Congress the same common sense financial smarts that helped him grow his business from two employees to 400. That includes reducing the federal debt, making the Trump Tax Cuts permanent, and insisting that federal bureaucrats spend tax dollars in ways that help Americans and stay within a budget. If you want fiscal sanity in Washington, you want Larry Kidd as your next Congressman.

Pro-Life
Like President Ronald Reagan, conservative Republican Larry Kidd is pro-life. As a local Republican leader, he’s worked hard to help elect pro-life leaders at the state and national levels. As a Christian, Larry understands that every child is conceived in the image of God and deserves to be protected. Larry also supports the important work of pregnancy decision centers and will use his role in Congress to stop the FBI and other federal bureaucrats from harassing these life-saving organizations.

Second Amendment
Ask Larry Kidd how many guns he owns and he’ll probably say, “more than I need and not as many as I want.” Larry grew up around guns and, as a hunter, he learned early on how to use guns safely. Most importantly, Larry understands that the Second Amendment is much more than a way to protect hunting — it’s a God-given right of self-defense. The ability to keep and bear arms in dangerous times like this is crucial. No wonder Larry is a CCW permit holder and a Life Member of the NRA.

Border Security
With millions of illegal border crossings each year under Joe Biden’s policies, our country needs to stop the flood of drug dealers who bring deadly fentanyl across the southern border to poison our communities. Larry Kidd supports real border security and will vote to secure the border and bring the fight to drug cartels to stop their deadly business.

Foreign Policy
The American military and its soldiers are one of the greatest assets we have. Larry knows this firsthand as his son is a Marine who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. America needs to return to the position of strength we had under President Trump when our enemies feared us instead of the position of weakness we’ve had under Joe Biden. As the most powerful country in the world, we can’t allow the brave men and women in our military to be attacked overseas by Iranian-backed militias.

Small Business
No candidate in this race can match Larry Kidd’s experience helping small businesses grow and helping people find good-paying jobs. Throughout his career, Larry has helped others succeed by using his understanding of the complex nature of business and finance. As a leader in the nationally acclaimed JobsOhio program, Larry has helped thousands of Ohioans find the jobs they need to help support their family. There’s no doubt about it — conservative Republican Larry Kidd means business!

Energy Independence & Security
Under President Donald Trump, America was energy-independent as a country. Larry Kidd supports a return to those Trump policies that prioritized energy solutions that made sense instead of the Green New Deal policies that cost trillions and drive-up costs for families. Larry’s from Jackson County, where coal mining was once one of the biggest industries. Across the Second District, natural gas, coal, shale, pipelines, and more can produce reliable electricity and financial and energy independence for Ohio.

Law Enforcement & Public Safety
Larry Kidd supports the police and would increase funding and training opportunities for officers instead of supporting the dangerous defund the police policies of the left. In Jackson County, Larry worked with Sheriff Tedd Frazier and other members of the community to tackle drug problems and help the community. As your congressman, Larry would support increased funding for drug task forces that target drug dealers and their Mexican drug cartel suppliers.[2]
