|I spent 25 years working in the high-tech industry, solving problems, collaborating with a diverse workforce, and managing large budgets. As my kids were growing up, I became increasingly concerned about how climate change is impacting the future we're leaving our children.
So in 2013, I made a career change. For five years, I ran a national nonprofit that helped young people advocate for tougher local climate policy. Leaning into the work of reducing emissions and adapting to climate change touches every policy issue. It's what led me to run for office. Now, as part of City Council, I’m a believer in asking lots of questions, gathering input from all stakeholders, and building consensus.
Being responsive is really important to me. I've learned as a City Council Member that there's value in every constituent interaction I have. At the state legislature I commit to continue listening to you, and learning together about how to address the complex issues that affect us here in 46A, and in the rest of the state.- Climate Champion
- Progressive Values
- Proven Leader
But climate change is also an incredible opportunity – to create good jobs, reduce pollution and improve public health, and address social inequalities. And I look forward to working on these and many other issues to improve the lives of all people in our community.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
