Biography

Larry Linton's professional experience includes working as a leadership and management consultant. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1987 to 2017. He graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Linton earned an associate degree and a bachelor's degree from Excelsior College in 2010 and 2011, respectively.[1][2]

Child of God, Husband, Father, Son, Brother. Small Business Owner and retired U.S. Navy Command Master Chief.
  • A restoration of state sovereignty recognized throughout the United States Constitution and again protected by the Tenth Amendment.
  • The first law of nature and nature's God is the right of self-defense. This includes defense against a tyrannical government. A right protected by the Second Amendment.
  • Public education is broken to the point where government officials, unelected bureaucrats, and public sector unions work against the best interests of students and the wishes of parents.
I have a demonstrated history of following an oath to the Constitution.
Work to ensure that government only serves its primary role of securing the liberty of the people. Government has been operating outside of its constitutional guardrails for far too long now.
That I fought for the liberty of future generations of Tennesseans.

A constitutionally separate branch of government. The Executive enforces the laws passed by the Legislative.

It is beneficial to build relationships with other liberty-minded legislators and to call out other legislators that serve only for their benefit or the benefit of whoever is bankrolling or lobbying them.

Absolutely. The Executive should only have temporary use of emergency powers in times of war.
If not already passed during this session, I will sign on, or co-sponsor a state sovereignty bill introduced by Senator Janice Bowling and Representative Bud Halsey that is already being considered in the Tennessee General Assembly.

Independent, Constitutional Conservative and a 30-year retired veteran of the U.S. Navy.
  • Our state and federal governments have been operating outside their constitutional bounds for decades and it needs to end.
  • The plain language of the state and federal constitutions are being ignored by the usurpers of liberty currently serving in elected office.
  • The major political parties in our Republic are destroying it, much as George Washington warned us they would.
A complete restoration of the role where the people, and the states are the sovereign of the federal government. All other reforms, or restoration, is dependent upon returning to the originally intended constitutional roles of all levels of government where ALL power is inherent in the people.
Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Thomas Paine and my father Phil Eddy. I would like to follow the example of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and along with the residents of Tennessee House District 12 state this to our currently elected usurpers of liberty in Nashville - "With a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."
I know what it means to swear and follow an oath to the Constitution.
That servant leadership be restored to elected office.
I enlisted in the U.S. Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at the age of 17. I served on Active Duty, mainly on submarines, for 30 years.
