Larry Metz
Larry Metz (b. March 20, 1955) is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 32 from 2010 to 2018. Gov. Rick Scott (R) appointed Metz to Florida's 5th Circuit Court on March 12, 2018.[1]
Metz was unable to run for re-election in 2018 to the Florida House of Representatives because of term limits.
Biography
Metz earned his A.A. and B.A. from the University of Florida and his J.D. from Florida State University. His professional experience includes operating a legal practice, Metz Law Firm, P.A., specializing in business, construction and personal injury litigation. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1976 to 1982.

Elections for the Florida House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent Larry Metz was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[6][7]

Metz won election in the 2012 election for Florida House of Representatives District 32. Metz ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012, and was unchallenged in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8]

Metz won election, defeating Frank Layne Wood (D) in the November 2 general election.[9]
